  • Best breakfast place I’ve ever been to so far! I loved my French toast, that was the favorite part of my meal. It was warm, soft and moist; perfect combination. My omelette was well prepared. The breakfast potatoes tasted homemade they were perfect. The coffee tasted a bit watered down but that’s my personal preference aside from that I was completely satisfied with my meal and the service provided. I love the decor and the tv with the fish wall paper was a cute. I love the atmosphere and how the staff interacted with their regulars. I would definitely recommend anyone to check them out.

  • Very average food and service. If you want a diner meal, this place certainly delivers, with an extensive menu of savory and sweet breakfast and lunch options. There’s just nothing particularly special about it. The place seems a bit short staffed and the food for our party of three was served lukewarm.

  • While this address has seen its share of very good eateries over the last five decades, Love Of Grub in Clifton absolutely blows all of them all out of the water. The cool vintage decor and soft lighting are a treat. Upon my entry, I was immediately seated at the counter, a preferred seating option for me (Why take up a whole booth with 4 seats when 1 is all that's needed?), and had the opportunity to actually eavesdrop on a very detail oriented set of instructions by the owner to the cook about a certain order that had been made. She was making sure that the cook got everything instructed right. I cannot tell you what attention to details means to a food service business; or any other business for that matter. My order was done quickly and efficiently. My eggs were done well, the potatoes crisp, and my coffee quite fresh. One thing that a lot of people may not know. Tracy the owner, and Love Of Grub are also involved in numerous charitable causes, including this past winter, donations of food, (and not paltry leftovers), but homemade special dishes and meals to the Clifton Warming Center for the homeless. Love Of Grub dishes got rave reviews from all of the guests. Bravo and kudos to this wonderful eatery.

  • I love this place they make the best benny’s. Hit or miss when they deliver. One came with no eggs, the other had such done under eggs that the white and yoke arrived separate. Was not expecting french fries either, breakfast potato’s is usually what they come with.

  • There’s a special establishment where it always feels like summer even when there’s a forecast of the returned polar vortex winds. Located on Van Houten in Clifton, we were greeted upon entering the Love of Grub by the staff at this bright and colorful Key West-esque vibe, very relaxed and laid back as first-timers. With the music of Bertie Higgins “Key Largo” playing in the background, my partner and I got a table immediately. The interior featured a cozy, vintage charm with its rustic wooden furniture and an abundance of natural light streaming through the large front windows. Their menu serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch with vegetarian, keto-friendly, and gluten-free choices available upon request. We decided on the cheesesteak with a side of sweet potato fries and the chicken pesto wrap with a small garden salad. After trying multiple cheesesteaks in Jersey and NYC, this restaurant came out a winner with the right balance of mushrooms, onions, and peppers with real American cheese, not from out of a can. The chicken pesto wrap was equally delicious with the fresh homemade pesto grown from the owner’s garden. The food was exceptional; one could tell everything was made from scratch, like you were in your family's kitchen getting food made with love. We were able to exchange words with the owner/chef, Tracey. She definitely puts her heart and soul into every aspect of her business and is dedicated to providing customers with the tastiest, freshest food possible. She’s a remarkable woman who gives back to the community by cooking for Clifton's warming center for people experiencing homelessness. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff’s friendliness and welcoming smiles set the tone for a memorable meal. They were attentive and knowledgeable and made us feel right at home, especially our server, Galvan. The price was comparable to the area. This is one of those places where, if one were to ask the locals where they recommend eating, this would be on their list, which we can recommend.

  • What is there not to love about this place. Delicious homemade brunch. Everything is cooked to perfection and with love and care. The owner is a sweetheart and always around catering to your needs. It’s like a little oasis, hope away from home. The decor is super unique. I’m a coffee aficionado and was so glad that the coffee was great too! We had the egg omelets and waffles and they were wonderful! Haven’t tasted waffles with such perfect texture in a really long time. Decadent and airy at the same time. Will definitely be back with more friends and family. Thank you for such great food and service!

  • Me and my girlfriend came here for brunch and the food was amazing. The service from the employee was good and the place wasn't too far. Parking wasn't hard to find either.
